I'm 5'6" and the the Phantom 0 women long is 5'10" – any advantages / disadvantages of having a pretty tight sleeping bag?
I'm planning a winter trip and found this on a good price so just wondering.
Thanks for the help!

If you like to sleep on your stomach with one knee pulled up, it could be a problem.
If you sleep on your back like a rock until sunup, no problem.
It really depends on how broad your shoulders are. I'm 5'5" and have a few women's bags that fit me fine. I tried a MH Phantom 32 and literally couldn't get the thing zipped up. The MH women's longs have an extra 2" so they may work for you.
Interestingly enough the specs on my Marmot women's 15F Helium say it has the same girth as the MH but I fit fine in it. The MH bag really seemed like it fit smaller than the numbers they had listed.
I own a Women's Phantom 0 Long, and I'm 5'5" — when it's below freezing, I keep a bunch of stuff in my sleeping bag with me (stove canister, water bottles). The extra length gives me storage without bottles and canister bumping between my feet all night, but it is a TEENY bit less toasty.
And I agree 100% with Eric — I also own a Women's Marmot Helium 15, (supposedly the same 58" hip width as the MH Phantom) and it is WAY roomier than the Phantom. To complicate matters even further, I just acquired a WM Megalite, which allegedly has a hip girth of only 56" (2" less than the Marmot), but it feels IDENTICALLY as wide as the Marmot.
I am wondering if some companies (MH, Marmot) measure the outside of the bag; while other companies (WM) measure the INSIDE of the bag…
