Cocoon Hoody/Pants: how much warmth added to sleep system?

I recently recieved my Cocoon Hoody and Pants, and my next step is to purchase or make a lighter weight quilt (my current one is homemade down with 3" single-side loft). I know these are such subjective answers, and these are very new products, but does anyone have an estimation of how much wamth these clothes will add to a sleep system? If I wanted a sleep system that got me down to 20 degrees, would I want a 32 degree quilt or a 40 degree quilt? This is assuming I am wearing the Cocoon garments (as opposed to draping them on top of me inside the bag.

The only info I've been able to glean off these forums is that the garments combined with a Cocoon 180 may get you down to freezing, or a little below with a bivy and/or still conditions. Has anyone yet pegged an estimate on the Cocoon 180's temp rating with no additional insulating clothing?

I guess my ulimate question comes down to whether I should go with 1.75" loft (like the Nunatak Arc Specialist at 32 degrees) or 1.25" loft (I'm somewhat of a cold sleeper, so I'm not sure 1" loft would get me to 40 degrees (like the Nunatak Arc Edge claims) without additional clothing). Maybe 1.5" is a good compromise. I live in the PNW where the dampness can reduce loft fairly quickly. I'd go with the Cocoon 180 if it could reliably get me down to 25 degrees with the garments and a bivy. Otherwise, for the same weight I'd rather bring a warmer down bag since the synthetic garments add a degree of soaked-insulation insurance. It's just that it takes so long to make these down bags, and once the baffles are sewn and the down inserted, there's really no way to go back and say "no, wait, I wanted another 0.25"!!

John – Approximately 14F will be added to a sleep system by adding a 68 g/m2 insulation layer. This calculation assumes the EN 13537 environment and temperature calculation algorithms: (20 year old male).

Polarguard Delta 68 g/m2 = ~.453’ loft
.453” Polarguard Delta = ~1.39 clo
Lower Comfort EN 13537 delta for 1.39 clo = ~14F

I recently purchased the UL 60 Pants and have decided to order the Hoody but would like some advice on the sizing. I am only 5'9" 5'10" but wear a 43 to 44 regular suit coat/jacket. Depending on the manufacturer the the XL fits comfortably but with others the large is adequate. Any advice from owners of this current stock is deeply appreciated.

Hi John,
Ordered the the large and its fit is perfect. I am 5'10 with a 42-44" chest. Hope this helps
