Some of us were intending to go snow camping, but so far this winter has been bad for that. The snow was extremely thin. So, we just kept waiting for the snow to pile up a bit. Finally, we had this weekend set to go. Arrangements had been made. Then just a few days before we were to leave, the weather forecast turned around. There is a winter storm predicted: wind, snow, and cold.
We could have continued, but it wouldn't have been fun. So, we bailed.
Why couldn't we have predicted this? Or, if this is what it takes to cause more snowfall in the mountains, maybe we should have started this earlier.
