I am looking for a long term container to use my Sawyer Squeeze with. Something that is BPA free and that can take some abuse. Any suggestions? Also would a Sawyer Mini screw on also? Thank you.

Squeeze, Mini same thread size
Soda or water bottle works good. Good strength for the weight. Probably need to replace once a year.
Don't most cheap water and soda bottles leech like crazy?
Clear (or sometimes green), most common, PET or PETE, #1 is supposed to be good.
I think that eventually they form micro cracks that bugs can hide in so you want to replace occasionally
so look for recycle code #1, correct?
Pretty much a myth. Why would a bottle somehow become dangerous to its contents once it's dumped out? Seems to keep pretty well on the store shelves under fluorescent lights for quite some time. Nobody complains about that.

I wouldn't totally write off Glenns skepticism – risk of plastic bottles is probably not great, even the BPA ones – that skeptical snopes article did say it's undetermined if heating plastic could release risky chemicals – maybe as long as you don't heat plastic you're okay
