I'm doing the JMT++ in the late summer this year and planning on taking 4 weeks. Weird starting point and a several weird detours planned. Does anyone have recommendations for good places to leave my car for a month. I don't mind paying a modest amount either if necessary. I suppose if it is going to be so long it had better be somewhere it is not impossible to get a jump for my battery just in case (mid to last September). I think it would be fine in term of access anywhere along 395, but I suppose lone pine would be best. A lot of the transportation will be shut or shutting down at the end, but at the beginning I should be fine.

Anyway, very interested in getting some ideas from people.

I understand you can leave it at the Lone Pine C of C for $20. Tuolumene Ranger Station is good too.

Basic streetside parking in Mammoth is a good bet. Near the ranger station, right where the highway comes into town. It's not on the 395 proper, but there a ton of services there, and a parked car won't stand out like it will in many other places.
