If you can find one maybe get a 1.5L Evernew bottle for another "dirty" bottle for the filter.. having an extra in case one has an issue is a good idea, plus a bit more carrying capacity. Some sources are a bit of a walk and being able to limit trips is nice.

looks pretty good though, enjoy your trip.

Looks good ! You'll appreciate the MLD Mitts during cold rain, and overall you anything that doesn't perform how you want it too – you can just replace as you go (AT is super easy in that regard).

If you are bringing a camera (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) then you just have to get a StickPic if you are hiking with at least one trekking pole.

Feel free to check out my 2011 AT NOBO gear list if you want to compare:

Have fun and enjoy your long walk !!

Jake D- The water pouch im bringing will prolly be a 1.5 liter and will be the one i fill with dirty water at sources. I figured i could carry the dirty water and filter it as needed but maybe spring for the 2 liter just in case of that

Seth Brewer- I plan on just bringing the iphone and was thinking about bringing a stickpic too, your list looks really good and will probably help me some thanks

Mostly, I like having 2 dirty pouches so that if one gets popped, the seam breaks or whatever that i'm not stuck without one. sure on the AT you have a hundred other people with filters that you could get by for a bit.

for overnights now i take 1.5L Evernew, 16oz sawyer pouch, 1L powerade bottle.

on the Long trail I was as lazy as i could be at camp.. i'd fill up water at night so I didn't have to in the AM so i could just pack and roll out of camp.
