So I bought the Sawyer mini as soon as it came out and yes I love it. I loved it so much I bought a second but every time I used it I had thoughts of how it could be even better. Since the introduction of the sawyer Squeeze we have all tried to mod the ends to screw the clean end onto a bottle, one being the tornado tube. When the mini camp out all the creativity stopped. The most you would see is a cap glued on the clean end which was very clever. Other just used a Sawyer inline adapter or the best IMO Smartwater sport caps. I couldn't take it I had to know if I could Frankinstien my Mini. The first cut was the hardest but i cut the sides of the cap on the clean end and split the cap off not hurting the filter at all. The net cut was even harder it was a brand new filter I just cut in half. I slowly worked the casing of the filter out of the clean end cap. Now I had all I need to make the perfect filter except the clean end of the filter doesn't fit the dirty ends cap. SOB! I took my drill placed the tube of the dirty end cap into the chuck of my drill and used a utility knife like a lathe. Little by little i made the open just big enough to fit the filter. the use of some crazy glue and Frankin Mini is alive.in handGravity set up
