Two kinds of poles – Regular and Airshock
They both come with the Duo-Lock system.

I have a pair of the womens (hey, I'm short – and they ARE lighter). The Duo-Lock is what they call their system that "locks" the poles when extended. The Duo-Lock system comes on both the regular and the AirShock poles. I find that the carbon fiber poles dampen the "shock" of a ground strike enough that I don't need the Airshock feature. All my previous poles have had some kind of anti-shock system, but these babies are the best even without the anti-shock feature.

Mark, what do the regular women's version weigh per pair?

I removed the straps and they weigh 307gr. (10.7oz.) per pair. That's the C3 womens, max lenght 125cm.

Half the weight of my ancient Leki Super Malaku.

I found a pair of Women's C3s for $110 but they are listed as 14 oz per pair.

I have a pair of REI Peak UL Compact — which I believe is the same as the Komperdell Carbon Duolock C3. If so, my views:

1. They are "finicky" — often refusing to lock in place — in which case you have to pull the sections apart and fiddle with the plastic expanders. That's four expanders to fiddle with!

2. But once you get them to lock (finally) — they do hold their positions very well — they won't "auto compact" with use — unlike my older pair of REI Traverse poles.
