Hi,

I am looking to buy old style Altra Superiors and since I cant try before buy I wonder
whats their sizing like compare to the Merrell flux sport or Inov8 terroc330. Both shoes fit me fine in size 11 US with some room in lenght. I have very wide feet!

Thanks for all your input.

This is for the original Altra Superiors. Not the new 1.5 model.

For some reason, Altra sized the Superiors really small. I usually wear a 11.5-12 depending on the brand. I bought a 11.5 online and it was so painfully tight that I pulled it right off and returned it. I should have gone with a 12.5 or even a 13, but the online retailer did not have those sizes for me to try and verify.

Good luck.

Altra sizing is so vague throughout their line-up.
I have never had a problem fitting in a size 11 in any shoe.

I have a pair of Torin's and the size 11 is about 1/4 to 1/3 size shorter than a typical size 11.

Then I just got a pair of the Olympus in a size 11 and I'm swimming in them.
Returned them for a size 10.

I have a felling that unless one of the pairs is made using the same last, they are going to all be a different fit?

Bellow are the 2 shoes (Olympus and Torin) both size 11.

http://www.runningwarehouse.com has a great tool to compare shoes.
You can compare any in-stock model with shoes you already know.
Go to product detail page and click Show me how it fits!
They still have the original Altra Superior on liquidation sale, so you will be able to compare it directly (otherwise you would have to start from some in-stock model).

I had to go up quite a bit in size for my Superior's. I am an 11 but went with 12 1/2's. Fit is great and they are comfortable.

i just got a pr of 12.5's and they fit fine.
my feets measure a smidge under 11.

the fit is odd though, as in not normal. that said, they work great.

Hi

thanks to all who chimed in. I did use shoefitr at Runningwarehouse and it recommend
11,5 US but according to yours feedback that might run small.

@Aaron
now that is huge discrepancy in the shoes.

@Edward
&Peter you two think size 12 would do? Regular shoe size is 10,5 or should I go 12,5 US instead

Thanks!
