Got a large roll of a Nylon Woven Fabric that makes great gaiters and tough pants, shorts and shirts.
It has a cotton like brushed finish and uses Nanotech to make it extra wicking. Developed for US Marines
hot weather clothing. Not ultralight at 3.25 oz per square yard, but very tough. I have been using it for
shorty gaiters and had no holes. Super breathable. Coyote brown. 5 Yards for $35 including shipping.

Well from the spec, I think a pair of pants made from the fabric would weigh about 7 ounces. The Patagonia web site is good at giving both fabric weights and garment weights, so you can estimate based on numbers you find there.
