I am hoping to find a wall charger with at least 2 usb ports for my devices on a CDT thru hike (solar battery, headlamp, iphone, mp3 player). I looked at this: http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-ACU210-Dual-Travel-Charger/dp/B009TBIKKS, but it is 1.7 oz compared to .7 of the iphone plug. I know that worrying about an extra oz is silly but I thought it might be worth a shot asking around on here. :)

Has anyone found a super light wall charger with multiple usb ports?

Another approach:

I got some 3-way cables off ebay. One end plugs into a standard USB charger and then there's a iPhone2-3-4 male, a iPhone5-style male and a mini-USB that some other phones take. Each is about 10 inches long. They were about $3. Ah, here it is, $2 each + $3 S&H:

I got it so my iPhone4 or my wife's iPhone5 could be charged in my car. But the shorter cable is lighter and a two-in-one cable weighs less than a larger charger and two long cables.

It would only work if the amp-draw was low enough. Two phones, for instance, no tablets, probably.

Here's a another style that might charge two devices at once (as long as they had different style ports):

Monoprice has a 2amp and a 4amp 4-port USB charger. Very light, compact and works fantastic. Monoprice, if you aren't familiar with them, is an excellent source of cables for cheap, based right out of California, so shipping is super fast.

Myla, beware the one on Ebay because it only outputs 10W across the 2 ports. That means if you use the 2 amp port you have used up all its available power throughput. Plugging a device into the 1 amp port will reduce the power output through the 2 amp port by half to 1 amp. If you only intend to plug in two 1amp devices (e.g. a smartphone and a 1amp external battery) then it's fine (power-wise; safety-wise I'm not so sure), otherwise it's smaller to get a one-port charger.

This is an example of a dual port charger which works 'at full speed' when two devices are plugged into it. The 18W Anker Dual Port Charger. It weighs 79g though.
