The Feathered Friends and the GooseFeet Gear booties are down sock inners that you wear in the tent and then ripstop overboots (with soles) that you put on over the down booties to protect them when you walk around outside the tent (or around the house).

Check out Ben at goose feet. I bought both the down booties and the overshoes, and honestly, I don't really use the overshoes unless I'm camping below freezing. Otherwise I just use the down booties for sleeping. And wow do I love love love them!!

I have both the down socks and the overbooties from GooseFeet Gear and love them. The socks are pure bliss…

For me, if its cold enough for the down booties I will also carry the overbooties because I don't like taking my toes outta the warm sock to put them in wet, cold shoes to go pee in the middle of the night… But, I will say that using the overbooties can be a bit slippery on sloped surfaces. The socks seem to slip around inside the booties. They are fine though on flat ground…

I have the Feathered Friends down booties. The down sock is removable from the overboot, which I think is great, I can wear the overboot around camp and then slip it off at my tent door and wear just the down socks to bed. They're very nice.
