FYI-Packit Gourmet announced a limited USDA recall of certain batches of Ova Easy egg mix. The following is the updated notice that I was sent today:
"We have just received an update from both the USDA and Nutriom, LLC that the voluntary recall of OvaEasy Crystallized Eggs in a 4.5 ounce package has been narrowed and now includes only specific LOT Numbers. Only the following Lot Number sold by Packit Gourmet is included in the recall:
B1913-B
You can find the Lot Number on the back of your package, printed just above the best by date.
If you have a package with any other Lot Number, your package is safe to consume.
If you have already sent in an email and photograph of your 4.5oz package of OvaEasy Crystallized Eggs your credit will be processed regardless of the Lot Number.
