Disney almost built a ski resort in Sequoia National Park

Beyond this proposal, nearly every single designated wilderness area in this great country is the result of citizen activism and the hard work of non profit environmental groups like The Sierra Club.

Mineral King would make an awesome ski resort.

Back in the day when it was a live issue, that kind of talk could have put you square in the path of a jumbo can of whup a$$ in certain circles that spent a lot of time in the Sierra. ;0) ;0)

Think about what that would have done to the PCT!

I think this refers to the road to horseshoe meadows. I can't imagine driving on that road in the winter.

Probably nothing at all. The PCT isn't very near to Mineral King.
