I know there is a huge difference in price, but I am just curious to hear people's thoughts about the pro's and con's of each and if anyone has used both.
I know the obvious differences such as that the Shangri-La 5 is 29.5oz for the fly only, the HMG UltaMid 4 is about 22o, and that the Golite Shangri-La is a coated nylon and the HMG is Cuben Fiber, but what about the design differences. At a quick glance they look very similar, but I am sure there are minute design differences that might make one more appealing then the other.
