Anybody happen to have both that's tried it and would be willing to chime in? (I did a search and didn't really find anything, so apologies if this has come up before.)

I've been tweaking my gear for a JMT thru this summer, and I'm pretty set on the Exodus as my pack (it's got Ron's new-ish suspension upgrade that he started offering in December). Thus far it's seemed to do a nice job of carrying 30-ish pounds during my aggressive training hikes. (Walking in circles around my apartment.) I have a BV500 that I picked up cheap on Backcountry, and it fits in fine vertically, and gives me enough room to fit the rest of my gear in- it's kind of an awkward fit, but nothing all that problematic.

That said, trying it did make me start wondering whether or not the slightly smaller Weekender might fit sideways, and might fit in to the rest of the pack/gear a bit more nicely. At first, I assumed it was out of the question, but the BV500 isn't all that far off from making it, and it looks like something the length of the Weekender would fit okay (I've tried a few things about the right length), but it's harder to gauge whether or not the diameter would fit. Obviously, there's also the secondary question of whether or not it would fit comfortably and carry well.

I'm mostly just curious- I have a decent number of trips on the horizon that are going to need a canister, so I'm at least willing to consider laying out the cash for one if the advantage is there.
