I need some insulated pants. Actually, I needed them about 4 months ago… but better late than never. Excluding MYOG, what's the best screaming deal on UL insulated pants? Is it the Montbell Thermawrap?

I'm not picky about down vs. synthetic but I prefer synthetic because I tend to get wet.

Thanks,
Max

200w fleece plants worn with rain pants and or long johns, just like layering the tops. 12oz in men's large.

Power Stretch or Power Dry bottoms are better if you are active.

Military pants liners. Many use 'em, they're light, warm, CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, and EASILY modded to slim them down if need be.

The best winter pants that I used for X-C skiing were Army issue Class A worsted wool. Worsted wool is a bit slick, so snow doesn't stick to it very easily, yet it stays warm even if wet. These are not soft wool.
