My son has a birthday coming up and I went to Eddie Bauer to get him some pants that were on sale. They had a promo with a $30 18 liter pack for $16.95 with another purchase, so I had to bite.

It's another in their "Rippac" line. In typical travel pack style it tucks into a pocket. As is always my wish it has mesh water bottle pockets and is much like the old classic REI rucksack. 9.4oz on my scale :) It doesn't have a sternum strap, but the wide straps ride well without. The webbing on the shoulder strap adjusters has a heavy weave and doesn't slide as well as I'm used to. Other than that, it's a nice little pack with a ton of features.
