Anyone have advice on where to find light gaiters that are more durable than dirty girls for a CDT thru hike? I rub my feet together when I walk, so the dirty girl gaiters only last about a week before they get holes. THanks in advance, BPL crew!

Will Rietveld gave the Mountain Hardwear Scree Gaiters a "Recommended" rating in his gaiter state of the market article back in June of 2013. Those gaiters just happen to be on sale at REI-Outlet today with 30% off the listed price, so they're 17 bucks or so. The sale is only for today and I think I'll pick up a pair to give them a try.

Here's the link to the article:

MLD

Can't go wrong with the short or long versions. Event material. Mine have held up very well after lots of brush and branches in the backcountry in both winter and summer.
