I wanted to mention these shoes because I finally found a trail running shoe that fits me well, and I couldn't find much on BPL about them. For reference purposes, Nike shoes typically fit me just right. Unfortunately, Nike doesn't sell many trail runners, and the ones that they do sell (the Terra Kiger and the Wild Horse) had too little volume for my feet. I tried and really wanted to like the La Sportiva Wildcats and they almost fit well. But after about 50 miles of hiking I ultimately felt that the fit just wasn't snug enough to feel secure on my feet, especially in the toe box. My wife recently bought a pair of the Saucony Xodus 4.0 shoes and raved about them from the first hike. So after hearing her gloat about them for several hikes I decided to give them a shot. I don't have enough hiking miles on them at this point to address durability. However, the fit is fantastic right out of the box, with a secure but not overly tight fit in the heel and mid-foot, with just a tad more room in the toe box. I will post a long-term report when I have a season on them, but I thought others who like the Nike fit might be interested.
