***looks like the general consensus is for the Manistee River Trail on the 25th***
Folks,
To follow up from the very successful Meetups last year with the MichiganWisconsin and Colorado crew I propose two more winter trips at the Pictured Rocks Trail and Manistee River Trail.
I am based in mid Michigan so can car pool if it suits folks.
Proposed dates
21st-23rd March
4-6th April
11th-13th AprilPlease reply here with what date and location you would prefer.
Cheers,
Stephen
Feb 1, 2014 at 5:51 pm #2068778I totally could do April 4-6, and I'd be up for either Manistee or Pictured Rocks. I need a trip up north anyway, so it would be nice to head to my old stomping grounds!
Manistee would be nice because then CharlieDog could join us…………….he likes Manistee a lot!!
Feb 1, 2014 at 5:55 pm #2068780Hi Jen,
Great to hear from you, let's pencil in that date so.
Are dogs not allowed in a Pictured rocks?
Feb 1, 2014 at 7:15 pm #2068802No dogs allowed on the trails at Pictured Rocks. :(
Shoot, I'll be out west for both of those April weekends.
Anyone interested in an early spring MRT hike, let me know!
Feb 1, 2014 at 7:20 pm #2068804Hi Sumi,
That's a shame dogs are not allowed.
Hopefully we might see you on one of the March trips.
Feb 1, 2014 at 8:13 pm #2068826"No dogs allowed on the trails at Pictured Rocks. :("
Y'all had me scared for a minute. I'm doing a hike at Pictured Rocks, and I thought you said no Doug's allowed!
Feb 1, 2014 at 8:23 pm #2068830:-)
Feb 3, 2014 at 9:09 am #2069295Sumi, could you go any later? I can't do the 11th, but as we get further into the semester I have options…..
Feb 3, 2014 at 12:19 pm #2069374I can do other dates after 11th April.
Feb 3, 2014 at 2:33 pm #2069425I would be interested too in April or later.
Feb 3, 2014 at 3:23 pm #2069444That's great Nathan :-)
Do you have any preference on dates and location?
Feb 3, 2014 at 3:38 pm #2069450I'm pretty flexible on the date, as of now. I'd prefer somewhere in the lower peninsula, though, to keep my drive time reasonable. It takes me about 4 to 4 1/2 hours to get to the MRT or JRP.
Feb 3, 2014 at 3:46 pm #2069459I am thinking the MRT anyway for the first trip.
Feb 3, 2014 at 4:56 pm #2069496>> Sumi, could you go any later?
Yes! Second half of April and into May looks pretty wide open for now.
Feb 3, 2014 at 6:05 pm #2069530Thats great Sumi :-)
Feb 4, 2014 at 5:17 am #2069657Folks,
Short notice but I am free the 14th-16th February also.
Feb 6, 2014 at 6:00 pm #2070702I would likely be interested in any trips April 25-27, May 2-4, or May 16-18.

Feb 10, 2014 at 9:27 pm #2072120I'd love to meet y'all on the mighty Manistee in April!
Feb 11, 2014 at 3:40 am #2072158Hi Peter,
It will be great to have you along :-)
Feb 11, 2014 at 6:29 am #2072175Folks,
It sounds like most folk would prefer trips in the Lower Peninsula so I propose 2 trips on the Manistee River Trail.
April 4-6th
April 25th-27thCheers,
Stephen
Feb 11, 2014 at 1:51 pm #2072333Hi Stephen, April 25th-27th should work well for me, unless something unexpected comes up.
Feb 11, 2014 at 2:41 pm #2072351Thats great Nathan :-)
Feb 11, 2014 at 7:03 pm #2072434Mar 21 and April 11 wkend I could do. Pictured rocks is close for me so that is easy but would consider MRT also as it is good stomping ground memories!
