Michigan GGG (or just a plain old backpacking trip)

I totally could do April 4-6, and I'd be up for either Manistee or Pictured Rocks. I need a trip up north anyway, so it would be nice to head to my old stomping grounds!

Manistee would be nice because then CharlieDog could join us…………….he likes Manistee a lot!!

Do you have any preference on dates and location?

I'm pretty flexible on the date, as of now. I'd prefer somewhere in the lower peninsula, though, to keep my drive time reasonable. It takes me about 4 to 4 1/2 hours to get to the MRT or JRP.

I am thinking the MRT anyway for the first trip.

Yes! Second half of April and into May looks pretty wide open for now.

It sounds like most folk would prefer trips in the Lower Peninsula so I propose 2 trips on the Manistee River Trail.

April 4-6th
April 25th-27th

Mar 21 and April 11 wkend I could do. Pictured rocks is close for me so that is easy but would consider MRT also as it is good stomping ground memories!
