I finally scored a couple of suitable graphite shafted golf drivers from GW that I want to make some fixed length trekking poles with. Question is – how to remove the heads? My only experience has been with a metal shafted driver, where the head was epoxied and pinned on. These do not appear to be pinned. Will boiling these in water do the trick without damaging the shaft?
