Last Summer

I love the 1K Island lake and Ediza shots! You did the area justice. I took a photo two summers ago from the exact same spot on the High Trail looking across to Shadow Lake. I did a loop of Agnew Meadows> High Trail> Clarke Lakes> 1K Island> River Trail> Agnew Meadows.

This summer I want to get out to Ediza, Nydiver, Minarettes Lakes, etc. In the book “Sierra South” they say that if they could only pick one hike in the southern Sierras it would be the trip to Lake Ediza. That motivated me to check it out this summer, instead of my original plan of another 1K Island trip.

Amazing looking places. I will revisit this thread when I am planning a trip in that direction someday. And Doug's dog reminds me of the first dog I had growing up. Still have a reverence to his memory.
