Maybe March-April, when the 2013 dividends are sent out?
I was in REI Reno two days ago and got 30% off some Patagonia Capliline 4 and an REI base layer…
seems at least some stores are starting to discount the heavy winter stiff since there seems to be no winter…

I think the last time I got an REI 20% off was with my dividend last year.

REI does their annual fall sale in October (20% coupon) and a spring sale in March (20% coupon). March is also when they send out their dividend checks.
Theoretically, I can buy something now, then buy it again at 20% off and return the new one as the old one, right?
but I have heard REI has changed their return policy. May I ask what your buying?
