AZ Trail – Volunteer Work Event – Mar 7-9 – Saguaro Nat’l Park
•The focus will be on pulling in the berm and establishing out sloped trail tread. This is one of the most scenic work sites available, a desert environment in a forest of giant saguaros.
•Previous trail maintenance experience is required
•Fitness level – Strenuous: This project is for advanced participants looking for a demanding and physically challenging project. This project is suitable for individuals who are fit and have a regular exercise routine.
•The project will include multiple challenges from the following: hiking 4-8 total miles each day, significant elevation change over 2000 feet, and physically arduous trail work. Participants need to be in excellent physical condition and know their physical abilities and limits before joining this project.
•Maximum number of volunteers: 10
•Camping type: Tent/Backpack via vehicle shuttle
•Camping notes: Lunch both days, coffee in the morning provided. Other meals on your own.
•Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
