…and Google Glass is 2013, too. You can now get an Epson Moverio or a GlassUp. XOEye sells the XOne dual-camera glasses for stereo video capture.

OMSignal makes a spandex shirt that wirelessly transmits your heart rate and respiration information to your smartphone. Heapsylon makes clothing (bra, shirt) that does the same. (Wow, a bra that transmits information…think of the possibilities.)

Lumo BodyTech makes the LumoBack belt that alerts you when you slouch.

You can put SafeNecklaces around your kids on a backpacking trip, so you know where they are.

Don't forget your fitness band (Fitbit, Jawbone Up, Nike FuelBand, Garmin Vivofit, LG Lifeband, Sony SmartBand, Razer Nabu). The Netatmo June will measure sun exposure, and alert you when it's time to put on sunscreen.

Your shoes, socks, and your Sensoria anklet can monitor stride, speed, and even "harmful stresses to your feet." Isn't that blister monitoring?

And let's not forget your dog, who wears a Voyce sensor collar (or a collar from Whistle or Tagg) so you can monitor your dog remotely.

Somebody needs to make a solar panel hat to run all this gear. (Oh wait, they already exist.)

Oh, no, no, you're making this all too sinister. Seven of Nine had tech implants on her face, and a data gathering/transmitting bra, and a really bad attitude, and she's cool. Resistance may be futile (or fertile?), but ask yourself–do you really want to resist?

Notice that the Sensoria anklet apparently senses altitude of each step. (Still need the altimeter?) Also senses heel strike or forefoot walking, and appears (?) to predict pressure points on the bottom of the foot. Or maybe those are just pretty graphics. Still, this is way, way beyond my pedometer.

Shirt monitors step, heart rate, breathing, (and even "Zen Index"), but it should monitor moisture!
