Last question (hopefully) before I begin my great undertaking . How much did your finished Karo step quilts shrink up compared to cut dimensions?
I.e. how much extra fabric should I cut for the finished dimensions I want:
52 head, 40 foot (40/60 h/t taper), 72 length; if using 1.5" baffle height (12/6 baffles, so ~6 baffles length wise, 4 baffles across width), ~2" loft, 10oz+ 850 FP (~25% overstuff), + ~.5" for seam allowance.
Not sure how much the baffles/loft will take down from the dimensions. For the width I'm comfortable with it being anywhere above 50", and length right around 72" would be ideal (I'm 5'6", 155#).
I was estimating +1.5" all the way around, would that be enough? Maybe more on the length?
