I'm eyeballing the wide bottom pots, ie ECA252 or ECA 251. With the lid on, is the aperture of the spout still open enough to drain water? Is the aperture open enough to allow food, ie rice, to escape?

Thanks.

I just tried my ECA-251. Water passes through at an estimated 1/8" diameter flow, and the aperture appears to be smaller than a length-wise dry grain of rice with the lid held tight. A stray grain or two oriented at 90 degrees could pass through I guess.
