What adhesive would you use to glue part of a cheap egg crate foam sleep pad to a nylon case?

I'm using parts of an old sleeping pad as padding/spacers inside a zip up nylon case for some gear storage/transport.

The hard skin on the back goes against they nylon

Nylon does not stick to much (why I use it for some of my molds), but I have read somewhere that hot glue guns can work well (and are also very cheap, quick and even fun to use). Alternatively, you could look for some nylon specific glues?

Good luck.

Edit: Sorry, I just realised you are talking about Nylon fabric (rather than plastic), so the glue gun might be a bit heavy/ messy!

I found some 3M 78 – foam insulation spray adhesive in the basement (forgot about it form a overhaul project several years ago) and gave that a shot. Seems to be sticking well.

We will find out more with some use. Not UL backpacking equipment but an upgrade for my bow carrier that was unpadded.

I don't think the 78 is going to hold up long term. I checked the case out as a test and the edges were audibly cracking loose.

I'll pickup some weldwood when I'm out.
