Hi, I posted this in a thread I created about my iPhone 6S, but thought it would be relevant here also
While looking for iPhone charging solutions, I came across the Unu Superpak i2 (http://www.myunu.com/superpak-i2.html). It’s an external battery pack with a 5000 mAh battery that WEIGHS ONLY 1 oz. Seems to be more efficient than others listed on OP’s list from last year. I did a bit of research to see if anybody else has a similar product, but all of the lipstick-size packs sport ~3000 mAh batteries, and weigh 2-3 oz. This seems to be unique in its size & weight.
This is a great list, thanks for creating, and digging up.
The Patriot Fuel 6000 is correct (though I got it for cheaper).
Great features, not to overlook:Â two outputs and pass-thru charging.
On a thru-hike it is nice to plug in a few devices (into the one spare outlet you can find) and go about your day, and collect your full electronics after food/shower/laundry.

It is Lithium Polymer , which is the most recent development (that I’m aware of) and is lighter than previous tech.  But that weight still sounds suspect.  Maybe someone on here owns one.  I could see the plastic case and usb port weighing 1oz by itself.
just my 0.02$ to the (great) OP’s comparison:
I was also searching for a new battery pack as I gave mine to a friend.
I found out that some brands have batteries that support Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0 (Android users check compatibility here). Specifically speaking the Anker 10050 looks promising.
at 8.3 oz, 10000+ mAh battery and QuickCharge 2.0 support for both input (5V / 2A, 9V / 2A) and output (5V / 2.4A, 9V / 2A, 15V / 1.5A) – it seems like a beast.
Though QuickCharge is not something you’d like to use on regular basis, on trail it could be very useful.

I went ahead and bought an Unu superpak. 4.6 oz. Not even close!
:(
Zendure 6700 is my pic. I got it because the mah to weight was slightly better than the rest, and it was a kickstarter company that had a lot of outstanding feedback. 4.9oz 6700mah perfect for my needs, fills the phone three times, and has charge through so I can fill up everything from a single 5volt socket block.
