Yes that is the shop. I know Neil (the owner) but some of the staff must think that I am a professional shoplifter, or at least they know that I am a gear freak.
Prices.
In the UK they are 300 pounds, about $670 AU
In the US they are $370 , about $415, maybe less soon………
Here about $1100.
Long rant
Don't blame Bogong, Neil has worked hard for a few years to be able to get the brand at all .
As it is with camera gear ( my game) a retailer here can buy most items retail from the US cheaper than wholesale in Australia. In fact in my game that is often true for the wholesalers as well.
The dirty little secret is that (apart from economy of scale) the US market is often subsidized. (by their de facto colonies in the "free world")
BTW, I know several guys in the local shops that buy , for themselves , the same items they have in the shop from the US.
As a buyer I purchased over $2 million from a particular Japanese company per year for a few years .Even considering that my personal staff price from them was still higher than US retail.

Do you happen to know where the summit extreme is $370 in the states? I first saw it in person at bogong just this week. (I think I'll have to pick up a super dru from them before I head home).
All this talk about arapiles, horsham and bogong makes me ready to head back to the mainland. I'm doing a year of uni down in Tassie and just got back from 9 days at the pines. Stopped at bogong on my way home and was blown away.

My favorite protective clothing brand is Montane, so I would not know what a Super Dru is, although my Venture jacket is very similar.
How about you ask Neil Blundy if he can do a deal on the two ( I am a poor student….). Keep in mind that you still have to pay for postage from the US and it would be nice to keep Rab here.
