Hi. What is the weight of your shelter? Nice work.

That is a rectangular tarp, isn’t it? You mentioned that it is breathable… is that Epic Malibu? And I seem to have seen a label on one of the pictures, may I ask what company makes this tarp? Nice work.

One observation… those poles crossed inside like that seem to make getting in and out awfully awkward. Why not put the poles on the outside and secure the “twin” peaks with a cord around a small superball inside the tarp and run that over the trekking pole? (like Colin Fletcher’s Visklamp idea). The outcome would look sort of like MSR’s Missing Link. Just a thought.

Hi~Miguel,

The actual shape is like this, not a simple rectangle. You may use this shape to build the different spaces without wasting materials.(prototype design, name is Dual Flight)

here shows another shape of this shelter~

This new material is better than epic in aspect of Moisture-penetrability. Therefore, it is extremely appropriate in winter use. I used frequently to cook in the shelter but nearly do not have the water vapor to congeal.

That lable is my own,you may see it in some of my works.

What you observed is absolutely right, like this?

Very nice shelter! Are you planning on distributing this item commercially? If so, I'd be interested in US distribution. Contact me at carrg06@verizon.net if interested.

I really like this design. Please give more information. Is the shelter available for purchase, some time soon? What is the material you are referring to? What are the dimensions? I think a lot of people here would be interested in this information.

I saw this yesterday and I thought it was clever but sort of never really examined it, and now with those pictures of the lean-to configuration, I'm HOOKED. I can not think of another set-up that allows what looks like the storm resistance comparable to stuff like the Alphamid, AND have the ventilation that a lean-to provides and still be under 10 ounces. Dude that is pretty cool. I seem to smell the hint of a future purchase for me. If you decide to sell some, please also send me an email at jrhoderick@taboracademy.org . I noticed that bivy hiding in the corner, what could you tell us about that? Also, would you be interested in selling the fabric, because it would be almost impossible to find something like that online, and companies wouldn't want to give them out…

I don't think I've seen anything as eye catching as this on BPL since I've become a member. nice

Ke Wu,

I presume that the reason you've gone with a not-quite rectangular shape is that it allows you to get the different configurations nice and tight? Where / how did you come up with the odd-shape?

Hi~Joshua,
when I use my rectangular tarp, I always meet some problems just like existing unnecessary part that I do not need.
The only means: Prunes the unnecessary part!

Hi~Jonathan,

I usualy use this shelter in strong wind if I need safety. It is easy to setup when weather turns bad. I suggest that anyone practise before using it.
I would send you an email to discuss purchase and other things
Here is my bivy…
Enhanced waterproof bottom, breathable top, and a full side zipper for easier access and better ventilation.
