Has anyone used one of lands' end polartec powerstretch jackets? It's not exactly the fleece jacket I've been after (I wanted a hood), but its also not 100 bucks.

I'm looking to use this as a mid and outer layer (so if they come boxy/baggy, that wouldn't be cool).

Any experience with their sizing would also be super helpful.

Thanks,
joe

You can get the EMS PowerStretch hoody for $69.

Sierra Trading Post has some excellent close-outs on non-hoody Marmot Power Stretch jackets and quarter-zips. I think they have an extra 30% off on these prices with a $75 purchase.

I have not worn any of Lands End Power Stretch fleeces, but I have bought a couple of their regular 100 wt fleeces. There stuff tends to be a bit looser fitting, more like an LLBean fit. The Marmot stuff is trimmer fitting. I have their quarter zip pullover Power Stretch and their full-zip Power Stretch jacket. Both are trim/snug fitting.

Thanks for the heads up! This is pretty much what I'm after, but only available in my size in dayglo yellow :(

edit: I'm after a small, if anyone knows any other decent deals on mid layer fleece jackets

Anyone know the weight of that landsend 1/4 zip fleece pullover?

The Marmot Power Stretch 1/4 zip I'm wearing (men's med) weighs 8.7 ounces. As far as I know, Power Stretch is Power Stretch, so I would expect the Lands End to be about the same. The only difference is the Marmot has a small zipper chest pocket. The Lands End doesn't.
