You would think the larger 26 liter pack would be heavier and more cumbersome but it’s not. The 26 liter pack is the same weight, and has more features. By using the attached cordage I can even compress the Verto 26 to a smaller pack size than the compressed Flash 18.
I typically use the side pocket on the TNF Verto 26 for food, gloves, or a hat. I can access this pocket while on the move by letting my left arm out of the shoulder strap and reaching under my right arm like a handbag. I can carry a full day of trail food in the top pouch alone. Pair that with the side pocket and I usually don’t even open the main compartment until I get to camp.
