Weather looks great, no avalanche warnings, should be pretty quite with the holidays. The last few trail reports from whitney portal forum group show at least two feet of powder at the portal. Rangers are saying noone has summited in the last few weeks. Thinking mountaineer's route. Anyone heading there Friday-Monday?
