Looking at all the steps involved, including precise timing, I don’t think I’d be able to make that third beer correctly!

This problem was rectified about AD 500 with the advent of distilled spirits. Why drink bad beer when you can enjoy excellent whiskey? :)
if the carbonation bottle works I might take it JUST to make carbonated water (which I like far more than regular water).
However, if the water bottle can hold hot beverages (boiling water) then it could double as a nalgene replacement.
Which many people already carry.
Bring 12 barley seeds. Plant them in a meadow.
Come back next year, harvest the barley. Add water (acquired locally), malt, yeast, and then hops.
Gin and vermouth keep very well in a Nalgene flask, especially when olives are added to the mix. Just sayin'… :-)
