Help Me Find Some Boots

I'm on my 3rd pair, and have both of these from REI, they appear to meet your criteria. I put the Dr. Scholls gel inserts in and it's incredibly padded.

I really like the Mid-Hikers because their light heel is very comfortable.

The Cross Trainers are great I wore them for most of Philmont last year, but for longer treks, I 'll take the Mid's with the heel at a +/-3 oz penalty.

Montrail Namche. They fit all your criteria with the possible exception of 2#. My size 10's weigh 17.4 oz. each with my orthotics, which are 3 oz./pair. I'd guess a size 9 would slide in under the tag. I've got 250+ miles on a pair in all sorts of terrain and they're still going strong. They're basically a Hardrock with more ankle support, lots more. I love the way they cling to rock, which is a real plus on talus fields but applies equally to rocky trails. Definitely worth taking a look at.

I just purchased Salomon XA Pro 3D Trail-Running Shoes using the same basic criteria that you listed. I haven't gotten to use them much yet, but I am pleased so far.

I also have a pair of same shoes with the Goretex XCR. I absolutely love them, but they are too warm for summer use.

Both pairs fit the same – perfectly out of the box. Incidentally, I bought a Men's US Size 13. My everyday shoes are usually 12's and most hiking shoes are 12 or 12.5, so I suspect these run about a half size small.
