Can anyone advise of the steps required to fix or replace the small black cord which secures the hand strap to my Ultra Distance Trekking Z Pole? The straps appear to be replaceable and available from Black Diamond which is great, but its only the black cord that has let me down on this occasion & postage to the southern hemisphere wasn't to attractive for such a trivia matter.
If I was in the field I would probably just tie a knot but the cord loop is small & I am not a fly fisherman. I am looking at a long term fix so perhaps I will take it to a cycle shop & crimp the cord together using a new swage or lug if possible? any ideas?
If alternatives exist or anyone has a spare surplus to requirements it would be much appreciated!
