Hi there, I know this has sort of been discussed, but having pre purchase doubts. Is the 180 ok as an overbag over say a v.light down bag. Is the pro 90 significantly wider than the 180, as it seems to be designed as an overbag, or does it just have a water resistant outer.

I don't own the 90 but I purchased the 180. I don't think I would reccomend it as an overbag. The foot box is fairly long on this quilt, and while it is pretty roomy by itself, it does not appear to be roomy enough for an overbag. (I tested it as an overbag to my JRB Shenandoah and I was definitely compressing the down in the JRB quilt.) The product information for the 90 states that it can be used this way so it's probably a bit wider. I am very pleased with the 180 though! The weight was spot on and it seems very warm. I would've like a tad more width, but I don't think it will be a problem. All in all a great quilt!
