FWIW, from a magazine review: “The lightest WP/B jacket. Period…. Enter the MH Stimulus ($175)… MH’s 5 oz wunderkind simply ditched the outer fabric and bonded the polyurethane laminate to the tricot.”

Thanks for the heads up!
I found more details:
Men’s & Women’s Stimulus Jacket (OM2380, OL2381)
You won’t even know you’re wearing the Stimulus when out on a run or ride — until it precipitates, and then you’ll be thrilled you are not getting wet. It’s waterproof, highly breathable and has 4-way stretch. How did we do all that for under 6 oz.? We replaced the shell fabric with a printed brushed Tricot using zWeld™ construction so the seams won’t restrict the stretch. If you think about it, the main function of the shell is simply to hold the waterproof laminate in place.
Features: 360 degree accent reflective patches; Brushed tricot lined chin guard and collar; Fully welded construction; Long cut back; One handed; Adjustable neck cinch; Secure chest pocket and hand pockets with earpiece cord exits; Sleek, lightweight shell.
Usage: Superlight Athletic
Fabric: Body – 100% nylon Incite™ Printed Tricot, Laminate – Conduit™.
Details: men’s – 6 oz., 180 g.; Stainless; women’s – 5 oz., 150 g.; stainless; $175

I saw this in Outside magazine, but it is not on the MH product website page yet.
Hmmmm. No hood and Conduit (MH's W/B laminate) is not exactly the most breathable W/B out there.
Keep trying MH.
So it's another PU jacket. No hood and $175!?
PU is not breathable in the common use of the word; still relies on condensation, absorption, and evaporation on the other side. No competition for eVENT.
Sorry Charlie.
"If you think about it, the main function of the shell is simply to hold the waterproof laminate in place."
No, its to protect it from abrasion. Every other jacket maker in the world are not idiots.
Helly Hanson did this 30 years ago to come up with a stretch
rain jacket. It was called breathable initially too. Hah.
I doubt if it can compete with my home-made raincoat, which I made by tying Bald Eagle feathers to nylon mesh underwear. Of course, turkey hunting season is a problem.
Actually, there is no need to wait for MH's 5 oz. waterproof, so-so breathable rain jacket. Sierra Designs Isotope rain jacket weighs about 5 oz., and it's actually quite nice to wear when hiking slowly in cool rains.
