I had a thought tonight, most of the condensation in a bivy comes from exhalation right? so what if you were able to breath outside air while in a sealed waterproof bivy. If your bivy had a built in UL snorkel with rain cap on the top, would this reduce condensation considerably?

Are you saying that this would be something to incorporate into a Bivorkel, in order to warm the air you breath?

I recently saw this discussed elsewhere (another thread here?)

That OP mentioned maybe using a medical oxygen mask for the task. What was brought up, valid point, is that there is a risk of rebreathing your own exhaled air while you sleep, instead of fresh air. This happens with a snorkel when breathing shallow. Basically the stale air column does not escape the tube, and if you breathe a small volume back in it may be mostly that already used air.
