I was in my local co-op grocery store and found mesh drawstring bags sold in the produce department as reusable bag for vegetables and fruit. They had several sizes and were $2-$3 each. They are made with recycled PET mesh. The one shown is 8"x5.5" (about 1 liter) and came with a double drawstring. I removed one drawstring and added a mint toggle. With that adaptation is weighs 0.18oz/5.1g. Seems perfect for a ditty bag.

Relax, Max!

I was looking for something to put in the bag for the photo and grabbed the first thing on my desk. I wouldn't carry that many batteries anyway– I have all my toys on a single AA, so I carry one spare.

I dropped a 9 volt on the floor one day and my dog ran up to sniff it, making perfect contact with a wet nose. She snorted and backed away. I picked it up and offered it to her and she barked at me: NOOOOOOOOOO!

I don't like opaque ditty bags. This seems ideal. Never seen a store w bags like that, however. What's the store?

Puget Consumer's Co-OP (PCC) has a chain in the Seattle area. I Googled "mesh produce bag" and got lots of results.

Whole Foods stores or a variant maybe?

i have a few of cheap bags that various goods cam in over the years … its a nice and easy way to separate out the items

i have never really understood spending $$$$ on fancy material stuff sacks … i get buying one/two/three waterproof roll tops so that certain gear doest get soaked … but for the rest cheap bags like these or even zip locks work just fine

;)
