Wondering if anyone has any experience in the Blue Range Primitive area in Arizona? and if so could recommend some good backpacking trips, day hikes or car camping spots in the area. Anything would be really helpful.
THANKS!!

I did a 1-nighter in the Blue a few years ago, and it was interesting. My cautions to you would be:
1. Hunting season. This is a very popular hunting area, so you should factor that into your plans, given that it's hunting season now; and
2. The recent forest fires. I have not been back to the area since the big fires, and I don't know whether any additional acreage has been affected by the huge fire a couple of years ago…
Unfortunately, I can't remember what trail we took, but there were some pretty overlooks, and we descended down to the Blue River, and climbed back up to the trailhead.
You might try something like this: http://www.meetup.com/Arizona-Backpacking/events/13189558/

We just got back from there, and lived in Alpine for years, PM me if you have more questions. The fires have not affected everything and it's had time to recover. The nighttime lows for the high elevations is now getting to freezing. The Blue River area is very nice now and there is both a campground and dispersed camping is allowed. Hunting season is not a problem just don't act like a deer or elk.
