has anyone here tried to mate a camptek/thermarest mini pump to and exped ul pad? i'm looking to figure something out without reinventing the wheel.

Looks like if you had the Schnozzel you could just cut the tube off and rubber band it to the camptek.

I use this on both Thermarest and BA pads, works great. I had owned Expeds previously and if I recall correctly, the intake value has a baffle to prevent backflow. I think it will really hamper the flow of air. I don't think they advertise Exped as a compatible mattress, but you might want to email them.

It is not compatible with exped, however, I took a TR replacement valve and jammed it in to open the exped valve an it filled. It is fiddly(if that's a word) and there is leakage. The Camptek pump does not create enough pressure to open the exped valve thru the schnozzle.

I wonder what the downside of drilling the exped inflation cap to install a TR valve would be. Remove the exped flapper valve and problem solved. or ?. It would also deflate to pack quicker.

What i'm really trying to figure out is how to inflate the exped in my tt rainbow in the rain. Using the exped pump sack doesn't seem like a good option in small spaces.
