All other things being equal, will a softshell that's about half polyester half nylon with a bit of stretch perform any differently than a polyester softshell with a bit of stretch?
Sep 26, 2013 at 8:54 pm #2028748Nylon absorbs more water per unit of weight than poly, and is more abrasion resistant. Given the variations in fabrics, this is an almost purely theoretical distinction.
Sep 27, 2013 at 2:43 pm #2028967In this case, I think that most of the performance of the fabrics will determined by the fabric construction (knit, weave, etc) and the DWR treatment.
