I live in La Mesa. Been hoping to find some partners too. Hoping to get out and explore Anza Borrego later this fall.
You'll have a great time in Anza Borrego in October/November. Wish I could join you, but I'm in the Austin area now. I can't point you towards any hiking partners, but if you need a loud, obnoxious drinking partner I can introduce you to my ex-wife. She lives in Normal Heights. Six foot tall 250 lb Crow Indian; you can't miss her.
