I'm considering downsizing from a honkin coleman white gas stove (2.5# with 1/2 tank) to the great reviews coleman ultralight canister stove (2.7oz). I can't find the actual weight of a full canister of fuel anywhere. Since this is such a huge part of the overall stove I imagine someone somewhere had to weigh it.

Does anyone have this weight offhand?

Thanks,
Bill

Weight varies a bit between manufacturers (Primus used to be the lightest, but have since changed their design), but generally weights are:
"100" canister 6.7oz
"250" canister 12.0oz

Here are weights for a few popular canisters. All weights are in ounces, per my scale:

MSR IsoPro (4 oz)….. 4.2 empty + 4.0 fuel = 8.2 total
MSR IsoPro (8 oz)….. 4.8 empty + 8.0 fuel = 12.8 total
Primus Power Gas 4 season (7.8 oz)….. 4.5 empty + 7.8 fuel = 12.3 total
Primus Power Gas 4 season (15.9 oz)….. 6.8 empty + 15.9 fuel = 22.7 total
Primus old alum style (7.8 oz)….. 3.8 empty + 7.8 fuel = 11.6 total
Snow Peak Giga Power (3.88 oz)….. 3.3 empty + 3.9 fuel = 7.2 total
Glowmaster (8 oz)….. 4.6 empty + 8.0 fuel = 12.6 total

It's my understanding that the Coleman F1 is a great little stove, but I ended up going with the Snowpeak Gigapower titanium manual ignition. I'm happy with this choice- it's a bit pricier, but it scored really well in the carbon monoxide testing recently done on this site. Something to maybe think about…
Thanks for posting the weights Jim.
Cheers,
Craig

Jim thanks for posting the weights. I had the same question about the canisters.
