I'm from lexington. I hike all over the country, but when backpacking locally, i mostly spend my time in Big South Fork. Too many of my friends have had their vehicles broken into at Red River Gorge.
I hike Big South Fork and Mammoth Cave. I have never had any problems with car break-ins.
How far is the big south fork from Lex? I am in Lex too. I think it is just south of the gorge. Any good trail recommendations for me to take my wife and daughter hiking. Like to camp by streams and such that allow a cool dip on a hot day.
