Nat Geo article talks a bit about physiology and physical hazards. (This was Nyad’s nth attempt, previous attempts having been aborted due to sharks and jellyfish).
My longest open water swims were only 5K, in freshwater. My hat’s off to Nyad. Very damn impressive.
Very impressive indeed. And good for her to keep trying after the failed attempts. A true example of determination.
