I was shocked when I got scolded for telling someone that jeans are not the best backpacking clothing…….Im just glad we have a site here where youdo not get punished for repeating what I have read in countless books and what is common sense….thank you all for being TRUE backpackers more worried about improving the sport than being petty like they seem to be over there.
Sorry I was thinking this is prob not the place where I should have posted this. I was just shocked and this forum here has kinda became my hangout for hiking and backpacking related stuff. I actually got booted from that site, and he said I quote " you are intitled to your own opion, just not here" in an email to me. The guy I told that jeans were not the best choice sent me an email telling me he couldnt believe the missunderstanding and was shocked………just thought it was wierd.
Pshhhh! What's next Kevin? Are you going to tell us that alcohol stoves actually DO work and that we don't need to carry 60 lb. packs? You're living in a fantasy land man. FANTASY!
I know…I know…..I'll keep my mouth shut from now on and just sit quietly and pack my canvas pack with my 6 man dome tent, enough can goods to last a week and just maybe if I have room left in my pack ill pack around 4 days worth of firewood.
